About nine years ago, there was a serious need for Canadians to focus their attention on glass recycling. Without the individual efforts of all Canadians to recycle glass, glass recycling wouldn't happen. In a perfect world, a glass container representative would speak to each person in Canada, individually. The draw back is that with a ratio of 1 rep to 30 million people, this process would take a LONG TIME! So, with Consumers Glass as the founding sponsor, The ANNUAL CONSERVATION VIDEO CONTEST began!
The Annual Conservation Video Contest is an opportunity for students across the country to display their imagination and creative ideas on how Canadians can manage their environment effectively. The contest aims to:
Canadian's share a history of high innovation and youth are more open to new ideas. The Contest ensures that today's youth have an opportunity to contribute innovative thoughts for making our communities sustainable. Climate Change is a "hot" topic right now in Canada and the rest of the world. We feel that it is important for Canadian delegates to this issue to receive input from all members of our society. The contest provides students with the opportunity to educate Canadians, entertain us, and provide concrete action plans to solve the issues behind Climate Change!
