Schools have been teaching creativity for many years, however the thrust of their efforts have been in the arts area. Now, we are seeing an evolution in their approach, a move to coaching entrepreneurship and technological innovation. Glass Works/Recy-Verre believes this mind shift and curricula change is an important one, as it will connect us to sustainability.
There is growing recognition that a healthy environment and a vibrant, competitive economy are mutually dependent over the long term. This relationship recognizes sustainable development, that is Environmental Sustainable Economic Development.
A method of growth that will ensure that a healthy environment is maintained for future generations.
How sustainable development is implemented into our daily routine has not been determined yet. It does mean that we have a lot of homework to do to find out what it means. Every person on this planet has a ROLE and a RESPONSIBILITY to be involved in action of some kind that helps to define it and then do it.
Ideas or inventions are the creative seeds lead to innovation. Fostering innovation is one of the elements we believe is necessary to achieve sustainable development. By applying innovation process to Climate Change, we hope to motivate people to change habits in their everyday lives that have a negative impact on The Greenhouse Effect, the Ozone layer and SMOG. By going to the source of these problems, we can eliminate the outcome... A large scale change in our Climate!
